9th Home, Perrywood Hawks. Lost 1-0
This was always going to be a tough game,as we had not played a single friendly and this side came down from Div 1. Right from ko this proved correct as Perrywood were a very fast and physical side, but we more than coped and had the better chances. Both teams played some good passing football and created chances, but a lack of finishing and some good saves from both keepers kept The score 0-0 until 3 mins from time. We have cleared the ball from a corner to the edge of the box, after closing everything down we allowed the ball to bounce where the midfield Player hit the ball on the volley and it sailed into the top right hand corner.9 times out of 10 would have hit the corner flag. A draw would have been a fair result.Good all-round performance.
MOM, Danny, Midfield. Battled hard through out.

16th Away, Walton and Hersham. Draw 4-4.
We continued our excellent play from the previous week and dominated the 1st half and were well in front at half time 3-1. 3 very well worked goals. 2 from Tom on only his 2nd appearance for the club, very cool head in front of goal and picked his spots well. The 3rd from Adam a great lob over the keeper. Adam repeated his 1st with an almost identical goal 10mins into the 2nd half. We then had the classic case of we’ve won this game and stepped of the gas, only for Walton to score 2 goals in 5 mins, with route 1 football and Caught us napping. With them on a high and continuing with the long ball game, we gave away a penalty in the last 5 mins. We snatched a draw from the hands of victory.
MOM, Tom, Striker on the day. Some good dinking runs and 2 well finished goals.

30th Away, Claygate.Won 1-0.
These games have always been close against Claygate, last 4 league games 2-2 draws and a win in the cup to us 4-2. This game proved the same and was a very close. Our defence was as solid as a rock and that limited them to long range shots which Jacob dealt with without any great problems. We built from the back and played some good passing football and had Claygate under pressure but couldn’t score. Another attack cleared for a corner, duly taken and a shove in the back resulting in a penalty. Up stepped Dylan who fired a rocket which the keeper had no chance. Last 10 mins saw us create the better chances but couldn’t get a 2nd. A well deserved win, 1st blood this season to Worplesdon.
MOM, Dylan, Defence. Had a solid day didn’t put a foot wrong, capped it off with a great penalty.
